Workshop

Stardes has a comprehensively equipped 5 bay workshop, and a team of highly experienced technicians who maintain our fleet to exacting standards, exceeding all manufacturers and statutory requirements.  A fleet engineer is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, to ensure vehicle performance and reliability.

In the unlikely event that you should experience difficulties with one of our vehicles, expert help is just a phone call away.

Stardes - ‘Walk Ramps’

Lightweight and super-strong, Stardes’ ‘walk ramps’ combine the latest engineering concepts with long experience of practical trucking requirements.  Custom-made in high quality aluminium, they can also be produced in-house to order, to customer’s individual specifications.    

The ramps have recently been re-designed with a new extrusion that gives improved loading capacity, together with a specially designed ribbed surface that provides a positive grip for wheeled flight cases, combined with low side extrusions for quick and trouble-free loading and unloading.

• Designed for quality and performance, in accordance with CP118 - Structural Use of Aluminium.

Stardes - 26 ton Trucks

These vehicles are always a popular choice with small productions and theatre tours, and are frequently chosen by exhibition and corporate event planners.  They are also used to supplement our larger articulated vehicles on major productions.  

These powerful, high-specification trucks provide the latest refinements, are environmentally friendly, with air-ride suspension and improved driver comfort.

Stardes - ‘MegaMax’ Trailers

Stardes ‘MegaMax’ flat-floor trailers come complete with a full compliment of ramps, interior lighting, and a load-securing system of straps, suring beams, and high-security locking bars.

Stardes - ‘Max’ Trailers

Stardes ‘Max’ provides all the benefits of the latest developments in trailer engineering and technology, whilst increasing the cubic capacity for production, exhibition displays and time-sensitive deliveries.

The internal capacity is a ‘true’ 102 cubic metres (102m3).

The dimensions of these trailers, at 8'1" (2.46m) width, and with an internal height of 10'3" (3.12m), allows your 8 foot riser boards to go side-by-side, and your 3 metre trussing to stand-on-end.
